Class 6 student tortured by teacher

GUJRANWALA: A student of class six was allegedly tortured by his teacher at Zahid Colony on Saturday.
Talking to media at the DHQ Hospital, Nasir, father of Mughees, told that his son was a student in a private school. On the day of the incident, accused teacher Qari Amir asked Mughees to take tuition from him at his home, Nasir said. When Mughees refused to do this, the accused teacher allegedly tortured him, Nasir alleged. Dhulley police have started investigation.
MUHARRAM PROCESSIONS, MAJALIS: As many as 53 Muharram processions were taken out and 182 Majalis were held in different areas of the district on Saturday.
Five processions were taken out from City Wazirabad, one from Kotwali, two from Baghbanpura, one from Ludhewala Warraich, two from Qila Didar Singh, one from Sabzi Mandi, three from Cantt, two from Aroop, two from Jinnah Road, one from Sadar, one from City Kamoke, one from Sadar Kamoke, two from Emenabad, four from Noshera Virkan, one from Sadar Wazirabad, one from Sohdra, two from Gakhar, six from Ahmadnagar and 15 processions were taken out from Alipur Chatha. Foolproof security arrangements were made by the police to provide safety to the participants of the processions and Majalis.
NEWBORN BABY GIRL BODY FOUND: The dead body of a newborn baby girl was found from a field at Jamke Chatha on Saturday.
Some passers-by saw the dead body of the baby and informed the Jamke Chatha police. The police have started investigation.
