Man abducts girl after injuring her sister

OKARA: A man injured a girl and abducted her sister at Rehman Colony on Tuesday.
Mudassar entered the house of Abdus Salam and allegedly injured his daughter Rabia. The accused abducted Mudassar’s another daughter Maria and took away Rs 290,000 and four tola gold ornaments with him. The injured girl was shifted to the DHQ Hospital but the doctors referred her to the Jinnah Hospital in Lahore due to her critical condition. B-Division police have registered a case against accused Mudassar, Hanan and his wife Kalsoom.
STRIKE CALLED OFF: Revenue Department staffers on Tuesday ended their strike on an intervention of District Bar Association general secretary Naeemullah Chaudhry here on Tuesday.
The District Bar Association general secretary called the Apca leaders and Special Judicial Magistrate Tariq Mehmood in the Tehsildar Office. After a meeting, the special judicial magistrate withdrew a case while the Apca leaders called off their strike.
Special Judicial Magistrate Tariq Mehmood withdrew his FIR No 958/16 dated 29-9-16, registered against 18 activists of the Apca on the charges of misbehaving with the ACE raiding team. After the raid, Apca activists went on strike.
MAN BOOKED: A vehicle driver was booked for injuring a traffic police constable over a minor issue here.
The constable admonished driver Amanat Ali of Chak 43/4L for wrong parking at 4-L Bridge on GT Road. It infuriated the driver and he allegedly hit the constable with his vehicle. As a result, he was injured. He was shifted to the DHQ Hospital.
