Rallies against Indian aggression in Bahawalpur division

BAHAWALPUR: People from different walks of life, including students and civil society activists, staged demonstrations against Indian atrocities on innocent Kashmiris in the Indian Held Kashmir and in favour of the Pakistan Army throughout the division on Sunday.
In Bahawalnagar, hundreds of students and civil society activists took out a rally against the Indian aggression from Jattowala up to Minchinabad Chowk. The protesters chanted slogans in favour of the Pakistan Army and against India. They were also carrying placards and banners. They said that the nation was with the Pakistan Army.
In Chishtian, the people, including students and journalists, took out a rally from Central Park up to Baldia Chowk. The protesters burnt the Indian flag and raised slogans against the India prime minister and in support of COAS Gen Raheel Sharif.
In Bahawalpur, scores of people set up camps against India. The camps were set up at Chowk Fawara and other areas of the city. The protesters chanted slogans against the Indian prime ministers. Rallies were also taken out in Khanpur, Liaqatpur, Ahmadpur East and other small and big towns of the division.
Five drunkards kill youth, injure several others

BAHAWALPUR: Five drunkards killed a youth and injured several others over a minor issue at Chak 99/DB near Yazman on Sunday.
The villagers went to the dera of drunkard Rizwan and asked him and four other drunkards Irfan, Abdul Latif, Ali Haider and Liaqat not to play music on high volume. They also forbade them from drinking. It infuriated the drunkards and they allegedly opened fire on the villagers. As a result, Sajid Ali was killed on the spot while many others, including Musarrat, Kaleem and Kashif, were injured. The injured villagers were shifted to the Yazman THQ Hospital. Yazman Sadr police have registered a case and arrested one accused Ali Haider.
