From Our Correspondent
JHANG: State Minister for Water and Power Ch Abid Sher Ali has said that the government and the army are on the same page to defend the country if India tries to impose war on it.
Addressing an annual general meeting of the Jhang Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) here on Friday night, he said that the people of Lahore had rejected PTI chief Imran Khan.
He said that the government had succeeded in minimising loadshedding, especially for the industry. He said that the government would overcome the energy crisis in the next year as Haveli Bahadur Shah and other power projects would start functioning. During his recent inspection of the Fesco offices, he directed the engineers and officials to give special attention to resolve grievances of the business community because the country affairs were being run through taxes of the businessmen. Later, talking to newsmen, the minister said that undeclared and unscheduled loadshedding would not be tolerated in any part of the country. Abid Sher Ali said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with his great political vision had foiled the international agenda of declaring Pakistan a terrorist state. Due to the Indian war threat, it was need of the hour to show ideal unity of the nation, he added.
JCCI president Sheikh Yaqoob informed about the establishment of the Jhang Industrial Estate and other development activities. JCCI SVP Ch Muhammad Yousaf presented the JCCI souvenir to State Minister Abid Sher Ali.
