ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed said the government is making all out efforts to implement National Action Plan (NAP).
He said all the state institutions are safeguarding the national interests in every nook and corner of Pakistan. Talking to The News the information minister said Sartaj Aziz has been dealing with foreign affairs and national security so it was quite hard for him to simultaneously focus on both these highly important issues.
“Now the prime minister has appointed Lt-Gen (retd) Nasir Janjua as NSA who has done a tremendous work in establishing writ of the government in restive areas of Balochistan,” he said.
He said Pakistan for the first time in last fourteen years is winning war against terrorism as a result of supreme sacrifices rendered by the security personnel and the common people as well.
The minister said Pakistan would defeat terrorism at any cost and the institution of NSA would greatly help achieve this purpose, adding “many external issues in the context of Afghanistan are directly related to our internal security so Pakistan will also address them in a befitting manner.”
