Watching the names of seven Pakistani universities in the Times Higher Education World University rankings is indeed a delight. The credit goes to the HEC whose vigilant role in quality assurance has given such favourable results.
Earlier, degrees were being awarded in bulk on a quality compromise. But the HEC management carried out adequate steps to ensure quality education throughout the country. Moreover, the efforts of the VCs of the concerned universities are also commendable and they too deserve accolades for their hard work.
