National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) IG Shaukat Hayat awarded the best officers of NH&MP Driving Licensing Authority, Islamabad, and Mobile Educations Unit Motorway Zone on their good performance in a ceremony held here at NH&MP Headquarters, says a press release.
IG Shaukat Hayat awarded SPO Amjad Sultan, SPO Kamran Latif, L/SPO Asmat Bashir, and Mobil Education Unit officers SPO Saqib Waheed, L/SPO Shahida Yasmin, and Photographer Arman Ali on their good performance.
While speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the performance of officers and advised them to keep on performing their duties with dedication. He also appreciated the efforts of the officers for promoting the Road Safety and traffic rules awareness.
He said that Road Safety team are visiting the bus stands, trucks ‘Addas’, factories, educational institutions and offices to create awareness on road safety and traffic rules in society. He said that Motorway Police officers have done very good job during Eid holidays and took prompt action on motorways and highways against complaints of overcharging by the transporters.
He said that NH&MP officers issued 14,077 tickets on overloading of passengers and fined Rs13,529,620 to transporters, and issued 6205 tickets on overcharging of fare and fined Rs3,954,500. They also refunded Rs12,779,179 to 77,187 passengers who were overcharged by the transporters.
