ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Committee for Interior and Narcotics Control Chairman Senator Rehman Malik has written to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif suggesting that during his visit to the US he must talk to US President Barack Obama to give up preferential policies for India and treat Pakistan and India equally.
“Pakistan’s sacrifices are more than any other country of the world in US-initiated war on terror that is being fully backed by Pakistan since day one.
Therefore US must recognize our sacrifices and prefer us to any country of the world,” he said in the letter.
Senator Malik in his letter said that the visit is taking place at a very crucial time when Pakistan is confronted with multiple socioeconomic and security problems on the one hand and unprovoked Indian aggressions and violations of the LoC on the other. He stated in his letter that India’s anti-Pakistan propaganda is aimed at damaging Pakistan’s image around the world while Indian spy agency RAW is involved in different terrorist activities in Pakistan and even in its own country, including the Samjhota Express and Mumbai attacks, to defame and blame our spy agency ISI.
He writes that the PM must talk to President Obama about Indian intervention in Balochistan and Fata. He added that the mother of Dr Aafia Siddiqui is very ill and old so on humanitarian grounds the US must facilitate her transportation to Pakistan.
Malik has assured his full support to the prime minister of Pakistan to express the cause of Pakistan very boldly and forcefully “as when it comes to national interests we stand together and united”.
