The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) and China Gezhouba Group of Companies (CGGP), the contractor of Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Project (NJHP), actively participated in a rescue operation led by the Pakistan Army, following an accident wherein a coaster going from Kel to Muzaffarabad fell into the River Jhelum.
The unfortunate accident occurred to the coaster due to failure of brakes. The coaster fell in the River Neelum about 500 meters upstream of the under-construction NJHP Dam.
