PU students win music trophy
LAHORE
Punjab University students showed outstanding performance at 'All Pakistan Music Conference' held at Alhamra Arts Council and clinched team trophy and three gold medals.
According to a press release issued here on Friday, the teams from top academic institutions all over Pakistan participated in the competition and the students of Punjab University showed outstanding performance.
PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran congratulated the students and Director Student Affairs Shahid Gul and Deputy Director Zubair Akram on this achievement.
New teachers: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has added two new full-time faculty members to its staff for the 2016–2017 academic year.
According to a press release issued here on Friday, Dr Martin Wilhelm Lau has joined as the inaugural professor of law and Dean of the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law and Dr Jawad Syed as a professor (Tenure Track) in the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB).
Both professors will help advance key goals of LUMS of making the university an internationally-competitive one through excellence in education and research.
