Locals robbed of cash, valuables

GUJRANWALA: A large number of locals were deprived of cash, gold and other valuables in several incidents in Gujranwala.
In Sadar Kamoke police area bandits snatched Rs 32,000 and a cell phone from Saqlain. Sohaib was robbed of Rs 11,000 and a cell phone at Wahndo area. In Qila Didar Singh Adil was deprived of his new motorcycle and cash. Saleem was robbed of Rs 16,000 and two cell phones by dacoits in Tatley Wali. In Ferozwala gunmen snatched Rs 19,000 and two cell phones from Alam. Habib in city Wazirabad area was deprived of Rs 27,000 and two cell phones.
In Dhulley gunmen snatched Rs 22,000 and a cell phone from Tabassam. Mushtaq Ahmed and his wife were deprived of gold ornaments, Rs 15,000 and a cell phone in Sabzi Mandi area. Motorcycle (STN-9321) was stolen from Kotwali area. Thieves took away valuables from the houses of Hasnain, Ayub and Jamil in different areas of the city.
BOY DROWNS: A boy drowned in a canal at Kot Jafar, Wazirabad. Reportedly, a young boy was bathing with his buffaloes in the canal when suddenly he slipped and drowned. Rescue operation to fish out the body was underway.
