KOHAT: Two persons were tested positive for dengue fever in the district, an official said.
District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Abdul Khaliq said that the patients included a woman and a man. He identified the male patient as Irfan.
He said the female patient was referred to a hospital in Peshawar owing to her deteriorating condition. Irfan was shifted to the Dengue Isolation Cell at the District Headquarters Hospital.
The sources said the dengue fever was spreading because the administration did not carry out fumigation in the district. They said that presence of dengue larva had been detected in the Lauchi area.
