Man jailed for uploading provocative

material on social media

FAISALABAD: Anti-Terrorism Court Special Judge Raja Pervaiz Akhtar awarded four-year imprisonment and Rs 100,000 fine to an accused in a case of uploading provocative material on social media.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) had arrested Zubair Ahmad of Chiniot for uploading provocative material on social media.

 

Case ordered against six policemen

FAISALABAD: Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Ali Raza Awan ordered registration of case against six policemen, including five SHOs, for failure to submit comments on a writ petition. They include SHOs of Rail Bazaar, Sadr, People’s Colony, Mansoorabad and Dijkot police stations.

Meanwhile, the same judge issued arrest warrants for SHOs of People’s Colony, Millat Town and Sadr police stations for defying court orders. The court issued arrest warrants on a petition filed by a citizen. The court also directed SSP Operations Rana Masoom to appear in the court for his comments in the case.
