Hand grenades, Kalashnikovs recovered on pointation of two accused

OKARA: Sadr police recovered two Kalashnikovs and as many hand grenades from two houses on the pointation of two remanded accused.
The police had arrested Hafiz Hasnain of Gulshan-e-Fatima colony and Anjuman-e-Mazareen Punjab (AMP) general secretary Mehr Abdus Sattar of Chak 4/4-L. They are on physical remand in a case No 813/16 dated 20-8-16 registered under Sections 395, 384, 412, 148 and 149 of the PPC and 7 of the ATA.
During investigation, Hafiz Hasnain told the police that he had hidden a Kalashnikov and a hand grenade in his house. To it, the police raided the house and recovered a Kalashnikov and a hand grenade from there.
Similarly, Mehr Abdus Sattar also told that he had hidden a Kalashnikov, a hand grenade and bullets in a trunk in the house of his cousin Tahir Jamil at Chak 4/4-L. To it, the police raided the house of Tahir and recovered weapons from there. Police have registered separate cases against the accused.
