LHC allows literary festival in Daska

LAHORE
The Lahore High Court on Monday ordered Sialkot district administration to grant permission to hold Benazir Literary Festival in Daska and assist the organisers.
Justice Shahid Karim issued this order on a petition moved through Advocate Raheel Kamran.
The counsel pleaded that the government was reluctant to allow holding of the annual literary festival in Daska on the pretext of security.
As a result, the organisers postponed the festival which was scheduled for April 4 this year. He said the organisers issued a new schedule for the festival.
