Dreaded serial killer gunned down in Mardan
MARDAN/CHARSADDA: A serial killer was killed and two other proclaimed offenders were arrested after exchange of fire with the police in Shergarh on Sunday, police sources said.
They said the police were informed that serial killer Gul Ahmed Said, along with two other proclaimed offenders, was present at a home in Piran Mandani.
The police party raided the house and ordered the criminals to surrender who opened fire at the raiding party. The police returned the fire and killed Gul Ahmed Said while two others were arrested.
The arrested proclaimed offenders were identified as Gul Nawaz and Zahidullah Jan.The sources said that Gul Ahmed Said had killed his parents, two brothers and sister-in-law in Charsadda on November 28, 2014 after his paternal uncle Jamal Said refused to let him marry his daughter.
Jamal Said had told his nephew that he would not allow the marriage as Gul Ahmed parents’ were against the marriage.
However, after killing his family members Gul Ahmed Said asked his uncle to start preparation for the wedding, who refused the proposal, saying that he would not marry his daughter to a killer.
The uncle’s refusal infuriated Gul Ahmed Said and he killed his uncle, his wife and eight of their children, including his fiancée on April, 5, 2015.The desperado had also killed two more relatives and was accused of being involved in two other murders. The police said that he had also committed murders in other cities of the province.
The locals said that no relative was present when the body of the outlaw was brought to the village for burial. They added that two brothers of Gul Ahmed Said had already been languishing in jail for the crime committed by their brother.
