MUZAFFARABAD: The eight persons including four women and a two month old baby were killed in two separate accidents occurred late night on Saturday in Jhelum valley area in the suburban of Muzaffarabad and Hattain districts.
According to police officials a car bearing No-IDC 6963 coming from Chinari was on its way to a nearby village through a link road the driver while negotiating a turn failed to control the car and fell into a deep ravine. As a result five persons of a family were killed on the spot including four women and a two month old baby whereas three persons of the same family sustained severe injuries and were rushed to CMH, Muzaffarabad.
In another incident three persons were killed at village Sanicot near Ghari Dopatta some 20km away from Muzaffarabad. According to police sources a private Potohar Jeep was on its way from Muzaffarabad to Ghari Dopatta met an accident due to over speeding and fell into a nullah.
As a result two persons died on spot who were identified as Sghir Ahmed and Farooq all resident of village Sanicot while the jeep driver Mazhar Ali on reaching CMH, Muzaffarabad succumbed to his injuries.
