BAHRAIN: The First Pakistan-Bahrain Business Opportunities Conference is being organised in the Kingdom of Bahrain by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bahrain Javed Malik on September 25, 2016. Speaking about the initiative Ambassador Javed Malik said “in line with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s vision of economic diplomacy, it had remained my priority to highlight and promote the business, trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan, and accordingly the First Pakistan-Bahrain Business Opportunities Conference is being organised in association with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of Pakistan as well as the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
The ambassador said that in view of the prudent and wise policies of the government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif there was a growing interest among the businessmen from Gulf countries about Pakistan, and this conference would pave the way for not only consolidating the existing trade ties but also evolving a strategy to expand and upgrade the business, trade and investment ties between Pakistan and Bahrain as well as other gulf countries”.
Ambassador Malik further said that the conference was also targeting the overseas Pakistani businessmen based in the Gulf countries, and delegations from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and other countries are also expected to participate in the conference. Pakistani Commerce Minister Khurram Dastagir Khan and his Bahraini counterpart Zayed Rashid Al Zayani will co-chair the conference which will be attended by 400 delegates.
