ISLAMABAD: Dubbing Imran Khan an “unemployed and idle” man, Maryam Nawaz, on Saturday urged her supporters to stay calm over the PTI’s plan to hold a protest rally in Raiwind. Her remarks came after PML-N’s youth wings had set up baton-wielding forces in Gujranwala, Lahore and Raiwind to counter the PTI’s protest.
PTI spokesman Naeemul Haq said that his party was not deterred by PML-N’s hooliganism. “The Prime Minister will be responsible if any untoward incident happens,” Haq told Samaa.
In a message on Twitter, Maryam Nawaz said: “Earnest request to PML-N supporters to stay calm ¬ read much into Raiwind dharna. Mr. Khan is an unemployed, idle man who has to kill time,” she added.
