The public schools reopened after Eid holidays across Punjab on Thursday while quite low attendance was recorded. While most of the private schools will reopen on September 19 (Monday), some schools reopened on Thursday where too a thin attendance was recorded. The government used to announce holidays for three consecutive days of Eid. However, with Monday as public holiday too the government announced only two Eid holidays. A teacher, Rana Liaqat, said most of the schools recorded 20 to 25 percent attendance and added it seemed proper attendance would be recorded from September 19.
