York.
Earlier, a meeting was held in the camp office of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in which it was decided that Pakistan will hand over dossiers pertaining to Indian involvement in terrorist activities on Pakistan’s soil to the United Nations early next week.
Various aspects of the matter were discussed and it was decided that the dossiers would be handed over to the UN secretary general by Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.
Highly-placed diplomatic sources declined to divulge the contents of the dossiers but it would consist of unimpeachable evidence with regard to India’s involvement and terror sponsoring in Balochistan, Karachi and the tribal areas adjacent to Afghanistan’s international frontiers. The recorded statements of the accused, who had been provided money, training and weapons by India and its terrorists intelligence gathering outfit RAW, are part of the dossiers. Their confessional statements along with photographs and audio/ video proofs have been made part of the dossiers.
The sources claimed that it has been the first UNGA annual summit where Pakistan and Indian delegations have no interaction at any level. The two prime ministers have already left for their respective next destinations while the foreign ministers are still in New York but their meeting isn’t on the cards. The meeting where the decision was taken to submit the dossiers to the UN secretary general was also attended by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Dr Maleeha Lodhi, Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Additional Secretary to the PM Fawad Hasan Fawad and Special Assistant to the PM for Foreign Affairs Syed Tarqi Fatemi and Sartaj Aziz.
Sartaj Aziz had planned to hand over the dossiers to his Indian counterpart last month in New Delhi but Indians subverted his visit and it has been decided that the same would be given to the UN secretary general with the request to pass the same on to India, the sources reminded.
The sources revealed that the foreign ministers of South Asian countries (Saarc) had a luncheon meeting on Thursday but foreign ministers of Pakistan (adviser) and India didn’t have any formal discussion on any bilateral issue.
