ISLAMABAD: The Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, Senator Pervaiz Rashid, on Friday said Dr Tahirul Qadri was a certified liar as testified by a judicial commission and such a person could not mislead the Pakistani people with his rhetoric. In a statement, the minister sought an answer from Dr Qadri as to why he kept mum during his visit to India on killing of innocent people in Gujarat, during Modi’s regime.
He said Qadri, who was hurling allegations on the thrice elected prime minister of Pakistan, was never tired of admiring the Indian prime minister. The minister asked why Tahirul Qadri could not even speak a word of consolation for the Muslims of Indian Gujarat, who fell prey to Narendra Modi’s tyranny, and the innocent Kashmiris who were beingpenalised for demanding their inalienable right to self-determination.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was deprived of travelling for five years because General (r) Pervez Musharraf had refused to renew his passport. There was an offer from friendly countries to travel on their passports, but he always preferred to travel on the Green Passport.
The minister questioned that how could a person allege others for being traitor when he possessed a Canadian passport and had taken an oath of allegiance and loyalty to the British Queen.
"Actually after rejection by people and his failure in winning their support for a struggle based on propaganda, he is trying to take refuge behind the allegations that only suit himself," the minister stated.
