PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) signed an agreement in Islamabad on Tuesday to bring back the Aftab Sherpao-led party to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
A handout said that Chief Minister Parvez Khattak, PTI General Secretary Jahangir Tareen, QWP parliamentary leader Sikandar Sherpao and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Anisazeb Tahirkheli signed the agreement on behalf of their respective parties.
QWP head Aftab Sherpao, Hashim Babar, Mohammad Salim Khan, Abdul Malik Khan, Provincial Ministers Shah Farman, Mohammad Atif and the provincial organiser of the PTI Fazal Mohammad Khan were present on the occasion.
The communiqué said that under the agreement, both the parties would cooperate with each other in the larger interests of the people of the province. It said the QWP would also rejoin the coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
