Man, two daughters killed in Okara road accident

OKARA: A man and his two daughters were killed in a road accident near Mandi Ahmadabad on Tuesday.
Maqbool Ahmad of Sohailnagar, his wife Kalsoom, daughters Iram, 3, and Mira, 2, were on way home when a tractor-trolley hit their motorcycle. As a result, Maqbool and his two daughters were killed on the spot while Kalsoom was seriously injured. The injured woman was shifted to a hospital. Police are investigating.
PEACE AGREEMENT FINALISED: A peace agreement has been finalised between the district administration and the Kulyana Estate tenants in a meeting chaired by Sahiwal Commissioner Babar Hayat Tarar.
Regional Police Officer Tariq Rustam Chohan, District Coordination Officer Sucrat Aman Rana, District Remount Officer Co Muhammad Amjad, Revenue staff, tenants’ leaders Liaqat Qasmana, Rizwan Ashraf Kamboh advocate, Haji Maqsood, Muhammad Islam and others attended the meeting. Jamaat-e-Islami district ameer Dr Liaqat Ali Kausar played a key role in coordinating and convening the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Faisal Rana said that rights of the allottees and tenants would be fully protected. The tenants’ leaders said that the proclaimed offenders in the Kulyana Estate would surrender themselves to police.
