Pak squash players fail at World University c’ship

KARACHI: No Pakistani squash player managed to reach the quarter-finals of Men’s World University Championship underway at Bukit Jalil National Squash Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
They could not even qualify for the pre-quarter-finals in the individual category.
According to details, unseeded Benedek Sebok of Hungary beat 9/16 seed Muhammad Arif 11-8, 11-7, 11-4 in just 27 minutes and 5/8 seed Remo Handl of Switzerland defeated Umair Gul 11-5, 11-3, 11-4 in 35 minutes in the second round.
Earlier, JaeJin Yoo (KOR) beat Zeeshan Khan 11-9, 11-2, 4-11, 11-5 in the first round but Umair Gul won against Kert Bryan Ocampo of Philippines 11-1, 11-2, 11-0, while Arif got bye.
