ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said he would approach courts and pursue a case against Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri for exposing his false allegations before the people. He said that Mr Qadri was once again in the country to do ‘politics of false allegations’.

He said if someone tried to march on Raiwind, he would face the consequences.Qadri had earlier come to the country twice and then fled after deceiving the masses and he would again do the same, the minister said while talking to a private news channel.

He said Qadri, who was a ‘nang-e-watan’ (one who has no love for his motherland) and ‘nang-e-deen’ (one who has no faith), was leveling allegations against Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who had done six nuclear explosions in response to five of India.

Despite the immense world pressure and temptation, Nawaz Sharif did not budge and went for the nuclear blasts keeping the larger national interests in view, he added. The minister alleged that Qadri was a Canadian national, which meant that he had taken oath of loyalty to the British Queen. It was strange that a person who himself was loyal to the British Queen was hurling allegations against others, he added.

He said that Tahirul Qadri accumulated donations from the world and then came to Pakistan to play his ‘dirty game’. He had established his institutions in 91 countries, including India, and all those countries provided him funds for speaking against Pakistan, he alleged.

Pervaiz Rashid said Qadri had visited India to pursue the authorities there for establishing his institution. He said the entire nation would never forgive him for leveling false allegations. The minister said the allegations levelled by Qadri in the past had been exposed and likewise the ones hurled by him would prove false again.

Commenting on the call of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan for a march towards the residence of prime minister in Lahore, he said politics should be for the sake of politics and not to intrude into the personal life of opponents.

He said Imran should avoid throwing stones on others while sitting in the ‘house of glass’ or slinging mud while ‘standing in mud’ as the situation might be the other way round for him also.“If Imran decides to march on Raiwind, he should know the people would march on Bani Gala,” he added.

He said in fact Imran was afraid of his declining popularity and was foreseeing defeat in the general election 2018. Since his party was splitting as tug of war was going on among party leaders, so he indulged in politics of allegations, he added.

Pervaiz said that the so-called movements of the PTI and PAT would meet the same fate like that of their sit-ins in 2014.Meanwhile, PML-N leader and former MNA Hanif Abbasi on Sunday lashed out at the opposition and said that Imran Khan only wants to become the prime minister.

During a ceremony in Rawalpindi, Abbasi said Imran Khan’s current slogan is “Sohniya Wazir-e-Azam bana day; Zalima Wazir-e-Azam bana day”.He asked the PTI chief who is he to demand answers of four questions, adding that Imran will commit suicide after losing the 2018 elections. He said the PML-N will again win the 2018 elections. Hanif Abbasi also bashed Tahirul Qadri and Sheikh Rashid by terming them both as liars and hypocrites.

He warned of going to Bani Gala if the PTI workers staged a protest in Raiwind. He dared Sheikh Rashid to contest the polls against him, adding that if he loses the election, he will quit politics and will never come on TV channels.

Minister of State on Water and Power Abid Sher Ali claimed that there was a conspiracy to set Rawalpindi on fire, but they maintained silence over it. He went on his usual diatribe and warned to give a befitting reply to those pointing fingers at Nawaz Sharif.

In an indirect reference to Sheikh Rashid, he said they would also march towards the Lal Haveli in Rawalpindi in response to the march on Raiwand. He said that Sheikh Rashid was devoid of ethics and morality and needed to be taught a lesson, and alleged that Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri were RAW agents.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said in an interview that Tahirul Qadri was facing a mental problem. He said that Qadri wants to ruin Islamabad and Imran Khan wants to ruin Raiwand. He said the politics of the captain would come to an end if he tried to move towards Raiwand. He said that the people of Lahore and Rawalpindi had rejected the politics of chaos. He said that around five to six thousand people participated in the rally of PTI. He said eight to ten thousand devotees would attend rally of Tahirul Qadri if he held it in Cholistan.

Meanwhile, Railways Minister Saad Rafiq said that Imran Khan should learn a lesson from the sit-ins and politics of protest of the past and should not create obstacles in the progress of the country. He said the PTI chief should change his stubborn and childish attitude to become the prime minister and should do work in KP. He said it had become a habit of Imran Khan and PTI to level allegations of rigging in every election. He said that power could not be gained through the politics of Dharna, protest and rallies as the backdoors were shut.

Adviser to Prime Minister Amir Muqam said it was beyond his understanding that for what purpose Imran Khan took to streets and put his activists in trouble. He said the PTI would face the same results in the 2018 general elections as it faced in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and the by-elections. He threatened that they would go to Bani Gala if Imran tried to move to Raiwand.
