PESHAWAR: A Supreme Court judge and former chief justice of Peshawar High Court, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan has condemned recent attack at Mardan district courts.
In his message of condolence, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan expressed his grief and sympathies for the bereaved families of the victims and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured people. Around 12 people, including three lawyers and three police officials, were killed and more than 40 sustained injuries in the attack. He urged the government to provide compensation to the martyred people and lawyers and best treatment to the injured.
Justice Dost Muhammad Khan said that it was the second attack on legal fraternity after the Quetta attack, and created a senesce of great insecurity among the lawyers and those related to the judicial system. He urged the government to provide foolproof security to courts across the province so that the lawyers and judges perform their duties without any fear.
