Seven children recovered from kiln

GUJRANWALA: Police special branch Thursday recovered seven children from a brick kiln.
The police raided a bricks kiln in Baddon village and recovered children Danish, Sahil, Adil, Shakeel, Shahrukh and two others. The kiln owner Yahya succeeded to escape. Police registered a case against him.
TYRES SEIZED: The Customs intelligence team seized a truck full of imported tyres at Kamoke toll station. Reportedly, the Customs squad pulled up truck and seized imported tyres. Meanwhile, Model Town police Gujranwala seized a big lot of Indian cloth on GT Road, Gujranwala and handed over the seized cloth to Customs authorities.
LOCALS ROBBED OF VALUABLES: Several locals were deprived of cash, gold ornaments and valuables in various hits on Thursday.
At Wahndo, gunmen intercepted Ahsan and his wife and snatched gold ornaments, Rs 36,000 and a cell phone. Ghulam Muhammad was robbed of Rs 38,000 and two cell phones in Tatle Wali. In Wazirabad city area, robbers snatched Rs 14,000 and a cell phone from Hafeez.
Robbers snatched Rs 23,000 and a cell phone from Dastgir in Satellite Town area. New motorcycle of Mubashir was stolen from civil lines area. Police have registered cases.
