KARACHI: Ibrahim Iltifat, Robin Dass, and Fahd Haider reached the men’s singles semi-finals of the 4th Indus Pharma Open at Karachi Club on Wednesday.
Ibrahim overpowered Vinod Das 5-7, 6-4, 10-7, Robin Dass thrashed Imran Amin 6-0, 6-1, and Fahd beat Nadir Bacahin 6-3, 6-1 in the quarter-finals.
Earlier, Farhan Altaf beat Mujahidullah 6-1, 6-0 in the second round.
M Shoaib from KP won against Amin Shafi 7-6, 4-6, 10-7 and Yousuf Khan defeated Zubair Raja 6-4, 6-2 in the under-16 quarter-finals.
In the under-10 quarter-finals, Zain Ehtisham beat M Ali 8-6, Basim Ali defeated Hasnain Imran 8-3, and Zain M Ali smashed Aisam 8-0. Kirtan got walkover against Hasan Jamal.
Yousuf Khan thrashed Fahad 6-1, 6-1 and Marib Malik beat Talha Suhail 6-2, 6-4 in the second round of under-18 category.
In the first round of under-12 category, M Yahya beat Yousuf Haleem 8-0; Farooq Atiq beat Abdullah Imran 8-2; Mahatir beat Hassan Jamal 8-2; and Ashar Mir beat Erhan Asad 8-0.
In the first round of under-14, Ibrahim Khan beat Shehrzade Rasool 6-2, 6-1; Omer Shafi beat Gulzaib 6-2, 6-0; Osama Khan beat Asim Khan 6-1, 6-4; Taha Aman beat Farooq Atiq 6-3, 7-6(7); M Yahya beat Shahbaz 6-0, 6-0; Asaish Kumar beat Mahatir 6-2, 2-6, 10-3; and Rayyan Suhail beat Sameer 6-1, 6-4.
