SC adjourns hearing of NA-110 Sialkot election plea
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of the NA-110 Sialkot election plea till next week and expressed displeasure over adjournment application of Khawaja Asif’s counsel and remarked that in future, no adjournment application would be entertained.
A division bench of the apex court comprising Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Qazi Faez Isa heard the case filed by PTI candidate Usman Dar against the verdict of an election tribunal.
Dar’s lawyer Babar Awan said the NADRA had submitted its report to the court but did not gave a copy of the report to the petitioner’s counsel, adding that an application to get the report from the NADRA was not entertained. He said the votes declared right by the NADRA were not valid according to the NADRA record. He requested the court to order the NADRA to give him the NA-110 balloting record.
