PESHAWAR: Several activists of the All Pakistan Muslim League (AMPL) on Monday announced quitting their party and joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).
PML-Q provincial president Intikhab Khan Chamkani, Senior Vice President Moazzam Butt, Maulana Shoaib and others welcomed the newcomers at a press conference here. Speaking on the occasion, Intikhab Chamkani said that the country was passing through a critical phase of its history and confronting a host of challenges, and called for joint efforts to cope with existing internal and external crisis.
Moazzam Butt condemned state-terrorism in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and said that Kashmir was integral part of Pakistan. He criticised the nationalist leaders for supporting anti-Pakistan elements and urged the government to take action against anti-state people.
Flanked by family members and friends, the new entrant Saadullah Chitrali, who was the AMPL president Chitral district, said that the PML-Q was the only political party which believed in serving the nation.He said the PML-Q’s government had carried out record development work during its tenure, saying credit for Lowari Tunnel project goes to this party.
