Pakistanis abroad
The news that special cells are to be set up for timely redressal of complaints of overseas Pakistanis is very welcome as the move will help provide an effective platform to expatriates for resolving their problems well in time. As per the plan, the district level special cells will be closely linked with local police and other departments so that the complaints of expatriate Pakistanis may be disposed of without any hassle or delay.
It is pertinent to mention here that since its formation, the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) is playing a pivotal and proactive role to resolve and address the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis. It has also taken many initiatives for the progress and prosperity of overseas Pakistanis including establishment of overseas police stations to help mitigate the sufferings of overseas Pakistanis. It is hoped that the government will remain firm and committed in its efforts to help reduce the plight of overseas Pakistanis and will take all necessary steps to promote their rights.
