Imposter held from Sessions Court in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: Civil Lines police on Saturday arrested an imposter from the Sessions Court.
According to details, accused Farman Haidar of Multan called Civil Judge Zafaryab Chadhar and introduced himself as Justice Shahbaz Ahmad of the Lahore High Court. The imposter asked the civil judge to provide relief to an accused whose case was under hearing in his court. On suspicion, the civil judge invited the accused for tea. When the accused reached the Sessions Court, the police arrested him and recovered several SIMS from him.
ACTION AGAINST ILLEGAL HOUSING SOCIETIES: Anti-Corruption Establishment Director Rana Abdul Shakoor has directed all the TMAs, TORs and GDA to submit complete lists of housing societies present in the region to determine their legal status within seven days.
He issued these directions while president over a meeting of the said officers at his office on Saturday. The ACE director said that to check housing colonies fraud, strict action and solid steps would be taken across the region. He said that action would be taken against those housing societies which got NOC from the concerned departments but did not provide basic facilities including parks, mosques and schools, to the public while cases would be registered against owners of all illegal housing societies.
