This refers to the news report, ‘6 Levies men killed in Gwadar terrorists firing’ (Aug 26). According to the report, some unknown gunmen, using automatic guns opened fire on the vehicle of the Balochistan Levies in the area of Jiwani in Gwadar. The officials were coming after attending a grand meeting of local leaders.
The serious point to note is the security condition in the Gwadar region. The CPEC is the essence of our economy and every Pakistani as well as the Pakistan Army is very concerned about the security in the region. More vigilance is required to keep conditions in control for the prosperity and progress of the state.
