ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday clarified a new item, suggesting the Sindh chief minister rejected a proposal by the Commission for postponement of mayoral election in Karachi following the Karachi events. The ECP’s issued a statement to clarify that no postponement of election in the mega city was ever considered by the Commission or even discussed with the provincial government ever. Likewise, it noted the occasion referred to by the chief minister was absolutely incorrect.
