KARACHI: Four unknown armed men attacked PTI leader Faisal Vawda’s car here in Delhi Colony area of the metropolis on Friday.
However, his escorting security guards retaliated and Vawda was unhurt due to his bulletproof car. The attackers fired eight bullets on the vehicle’s window screen.Talking to the media, Vawda said at least four assailants riding motorbikes sprayed bullets at his car. However, on retaliation by his guards, the attackers sped away.
“I was on my way from the NAB office when the gun attack took place,” he added saying his vehicle was bullet-proof. Meantime, police have started investigations into the assault.Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also took notice of the attack. IGP, Sindh, AD Khawaja, has sought an inquiry report from the SSP. He instructed that all available evidence be collected.
