Preparatory cell for SAARC Summit set up

ISLAMABAD: Secretary Foreign Affairs Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry on Friday inaugurated a special cell at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to give an impetus to ongoing preparations for 19th SAARC Summit to be held here on November 9-10 this year.
The SAARC Summit Cell would closely work with all stakeholders and authorities concerned in Pakistan, according to a Foreign Office statement.The cell would also liaise with the member states SAARC Observers and the SAARC Secretariat for organization of the summit.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has invited the leaders of SAARC member states to attend the summit with their presence and was looking forward to welcome them at Islamabad. Nine observers of SAARC have also been invited to attend the summit.
