Moot calls for promoting unity

FAISALABAD: Speakers at Naat conference called for illuminating people’s hearts with the love of Allah and Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and promote unity and tolerance in society to meet common challenges faced by the Muslim world.
The 2nd Naat conference was arranged by Naat and Seerat Club, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, at New Senate Hall.
The session was chaired by UAF Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. Religious scholar and Naat Khawan Syed Salman Shah, Chairman Naat Academy Ishaq Qureshi, Riaz Majeed, Syed Masood Shah, and others also spoke.
The VC stressed the need of strengthening ties with the Holy Quran and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He said we should get inspiration from the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and follow in his teachings. He said the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) gives us the message of forgiveness, tolerance and brotherhood. He also called for ironing out differences for the uplift of the country. Syed Salman said spending the life as per injections of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the guarantee of a bright future not only in the world but also afterwards. Ishaq Qureshi said Ummah needs to follow true spirit of Islam and shun differences to excel in the every sphere of life in the world and hereafter. He also stressed the need to understand the Holy Quran with translation.
