MULTAN: Lawyers on Wednesday took out ‘Yes to Pakistan’ rally and condemned MQM chief Altaf Hussain for delivering hate speech.
The lawyers took out the rally from the District Courts and chanted slogans against MQM chief Altaf Hussain for delivering hate speech, chanting slogans against Pakistan and enticing people for violence. They also burnt effigy of Altaf Hussain in protest. They demanded the government impose complete ban on the MQM. Meanwhile, the Multan District Bar Association organised a conference against Altaf Hussain’s hate speech and demanding the government trial Altaf Hussain. “It is the time for the government to take action against Altaf Hussain in the light of his hater speech”, the lawyers demanded. DBA president Azimul Haq Pirzada said that it was shameful that the MQM was still working in the country while its chief abusing Pakistan. “Allegations that the MQM had links with India were not new but his fresh hate speech was alarming”, he added. He said that Altaf Hussain’s speeches against security agencies had stirred a serious controversy in the country. Meanwhile, the business community of the Southern Punjab also strongly condemned the provocative anti-Pakistan statement of MQM chief Altaf Hussain and demanded strict action against the people involved in the attacks on media houses. Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry president Fareed Mughees Sheikh said that no one was above Pakistan and the trading community strongly condemns anti-Pakistan statements of Altaf Hussain. He said that the MQM chief was allegedly playing in the hands of our enemies and he was giving such statements to appease them. “Strict action should be taken against the people who attacked media houses”, he said. MCCI SVP Ata Shafi Tanvir and others also condemned the MQM chief’s anti-Pakistan statements.
