7 TMA Sambrial officials booked for misuse of power

GUJRANWALA: Anti-Corruption Establishment Director Rana Abdul Shakoor on Wednesday directed to book seven officials of TMA Sambrial for alleged misuse of power.
Complainant Rashid Ali Butt in his application alleged that Saleem Mehmood, chairman of a housing society, was allegedly looting the people in the name of his housing society with the collusion of the TMA officers. He claimed that the housing society had no NOC as well as no sufficient land which they were telling to the people. He alleged that TMO Adnan Rafiq, TOR Mirza Ashraf Baig, Inayat Ali, TOP&C Asad Hussain, Maryam Siddiqa, building inspector Kamran and clerk Ghulam Murtaza were involved in the said fraud after receiving bribe. After completion of inquiry and in the light of findings, the ACE director issued orders to register cases against the housing society chairman and the TMA officers.

GUJRANWALA: Civil Judge Iram Ayyaz on Wednesday handed over two daughters of a woman to the Child Protection Bureau when she left them in the court due to poverty.
Reportedly, Shahnaz of Fattomand entered the court along with her two daughters, Sehrish, 5, and Muskan, 7, and told that her husband had been died about two years ago and she had no source of income and was unable to bear the expenditures to bring up her children. At this, the judge called the CPB officers and handed over both the girls to them.
Campaign launched to check assets of govt officers

GUJRANWALA: The Anti-Corruption Establishment Gujranwala circle on Wednesday started a campaign to check assets of government officers and officials.
The campaign is launched on the directions of the ACE Punjab director. Sources told that assets of the officers of different departments including Public Health Engineering, Highway, Building, Wasa, GDA, TMAs and Revenue were focused and officials working in these departments would be checked.
