Arbaz, Fatima win table tennis finals
KARACHI: Arbaz Anwar (NHA) beat Fahad Khawaja (Army) to win the junior boys singles final of PSO Carient Junior and Cadet National Table Tennis championships here at the Islamia Club on Tuesday.
Arbaz beat Fahad (4-2) 11-7, 8-11, 11-9, 11-13, 12-10, 11-6.
In junior girls singles finals, Fatima Khan (CHO) beat Hareem Anwar (Sindh) (3-0) 11-6, 11-2, 11-5.
On Monday, Shah Khan of NHA and Fatima Khan of Chromatex won cadet boys singles and cadet girls singles titles, respectively.
Army won junior boys team and junior boys doubles crowns, while the junior girls doubles title went to Sindh. NHA also clinched the cadet boys team event title.
On Sunday Punjab secured cadet girls team singles title by beating Chromatex 3-2 in the game for the first position.
Sindh defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3-1 in the first position fixture of junior girls team singles event.
