Rs 500 dispute leaves three brothers injured

FAISALABAD: Three brothers received critical injuries when two of them tried to burn the third over a Rs 500 dispute at Qasimabad on Monday.
Muhammad Mushtaq had borrowed the amount from his brother Abu Bakr, which caused a dispute between them. On the day of the incident, Abu Bakr with his brother Umar Farooq allegedly burnt their third brother Mushtaq alive by sprinkling petrol on him. The fire also engulfed Abu Bakr and Umar. As a result, all the three brothers received serious burns. They were shifted to the Allied Hospital. Police are investigating.
STORE GUTTED: A departmental store was gutted here.
The departmental store in a plaza caught fire due to a short circuit. As a result, articles worth Rs 10 million were gutted. The firefighters extinguished the fire after a struggle of one hour.
Five killed in Faisalabad road accidents

FAISALABAD: Five people were killed in different road accidents here. Muhammad Sarwar of Chak 362, Gojra, Muhammad Saleem of Chiniot and Shahid Maqbool of Jhang Road, Faisalabad, were seriously injured in road accidents. They were shifted to the Allied Hospital where they died.
Mukhtar Ahmad, a resident of Allama Iqbal Colony, was on his way when a speeding car hit him on Jhang Road. As a result, he was injured seriously. He was shifted to the Civil Hospital where he died.
Nasrullah of Chak 18/RB, Chak Jhumra, was going to a factory when a rickshaw hit his motorcycle on Chak Jhumra Road, injuring him seriously. He was shifted to a hospital where he died.
