Whenever I have the opportunity to visit various parts of Sindh the people there says that they live in miserable conditions. No doubt, successive rulers have created mayhem in the province. Rulers know that order and development spur spiritual and socioeconomic growth. Which is why they have kept their people deprived, illiterate and ignorant.
But yet I see no tears, no anger on the people’s faces. They don’t wallow in self-pity. They have the courage and strength inside them to make the changes they want. The shrewd PPP leadership have now perhaps realised that things have not worked out in the manner they wanted. Things can only be better in the province if the political leadership of the PML-N, PTI, PAT and other political parties don’t ignore the province and leave it at the mercy of the single party which has failed to deliver so far in planning and development, but delivered in the area of ignorance.
