PFA seals food outlets
Punjab Food Authority sealed several food businesses and outlets, including the café of a famous art gallery here on Monday.
Officials said a team of PFA raided the café of Nairang Art Gallery on Jail Road and found the kitchen in a very dirty and unhygienic state. They said rotten vegetables were being used in food while the team also found rat’s shit in bread crumbs in which chicken and other items were being fried and served to customers. Following the unhygienic cleanliness conditions, the café was sealed.
PFA’s team raided Phaja Siri Pai on Jail Road and sealed it for presence of insects, open drainage system, dirty atmosphere, absence of medical certificates of workers and other violations. Other teams of PFA sealed Al-Jannat Milk Shop on College Road, Ghousia Naan Shop and Chanye on College Road, Noshahi Qadri Milk Shop on Pepsi Road, Super Fine Bakery in Green Town and Mashallah Milk Shop in the Kot Lakhpat area for different violations. —Correspondent
