MIRPUR: Five persons were killed and 20 injured, seven of them seriously, when a passenger bus fell into a deep ravine near Chakswari about 35 kilometers from here on Saturday. According to Deputy Commissioner, Mirpur, Ch Amjad Iqbal, the overloaded and old bus, with around 50 passengers on board, met the accident after its tie-rod had broken down. The bus was coming to Mirpur from Dadayalwent. He said five passengers died on the spot. The injured were rushed to the District Hospital, Mirpur, were some are reported to be in critical condition, the DC said quoting doctors. Some injured were shifted to nearby hospitals and discharged after receiving treatment.
