Man, two sons and VC nazim killed in Kohat
KOHAT: A man, his two sons and a village council nazim were killed while three other persons including a woman and her two minor daughters sustained injuries in a firing incident here, police said on Saturday.
The police said that the accused Abdul Fahim, Abdul Naeem, Daraz Khan and Waqas Ahmad had a rivalry with one Rafiqur Rehman over some property dispute.
They said that Rafiqur Rehman along with his two sons and another relatives and Zyar Kohi Village Council nazim Munir Baig were returning home in a car.
They said the accused, who rode motorcycles, allegedly opened fire on the car in Shakar Darra area.
They said that Rafiqur Rehman, his two sons Shafiqur Rehman and Attiqur Rehman and Munir sustained injuries in the incident.
They said that Rafiqur Rehman ran to a nearby house to save his life, but the accused chased him and opened indiscriminate fire on him inside the house.
As a result, the police said, that Rafiqur Rehman and a woman and her two minor daughters sustained bullet injuries in the incident.
They said the injured were taken to the Kohat Civil Hospital, where Rafiqur Rehman and his sons Shafiqur Rehman and Attiqur Rehman and councillor Munir Baig succumbed to their injuries.
They said the accused escaped after committing the crime, leaving their bikes behind. The police seized the bikes and started an investigation.
