Petition against Health secretary disposed of

BAHAWALPUR: Justice Muhammad Amir Bhatti of the Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench on Friday disposed of a contempt of court petition against the Punjab health secretary and others.
The judge while disposing of the petition filed by BVH MS Dr Shahid Faraz asked him to file a fresh petition regarding his transfer to the Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi, if he wanted.
Earlier, the judge, on a petition, had suspended the suspension orders of Dr Shahid Faraz issued by the health secretary and he reassumed as the BVH MS. On August 17, Dr Rao Javed Akhtar took charge as the acting MS. To it, Dr Shahid Faraz filed a contempt of court petition against the health secretary and others. In the meantime, the secretary withdrew the suspension orders and transferred Dr Shahid Faraz to the Holy Family Hospital.
12-year-old girl raped

BAHAWALPUR: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped at Chak 9, Fordwah.
Shumaila Bibi went to a field for cutting grass where Adnan allegedly raped her. The victim was shifted to the Chishtian THQ Hospital.
According to Bakhshan Khan police, a case has been registered against the accused in the light of a medical report which had confirmed the rape. Meanwhile, the accused was granted an interim bail by a Chishtian civil judge.
