Family stages demo against police

MULTAN: A 13-year-old girl went missing at Adda Bosan on Thursday.
Aasia Khan went to the field for some work from where she went missing. Meanwhile, the girl’s family along with villagers staged a demonstration against police for allegedly reaching the spot after a delay of two hours. They chanted slogans against police. Rafiq told newsmen that when her daughter did not return from the field, they started searching her and find her shoes and Dopata from the field. He said that they called Rescue 15 but the police allegedly reached the spot after a delay of about two hours. Police have started investigation.
Meanwhile, Regional Police Officer Sultan Azam Taimuri, in a handout, said that no children kidnapping gang was active in the region. He claimed that police investigation had established that no gang was active in abduction of children in the region.
The RPO said that seven children missing cases were registered in the region during the last eight months. He said that the police investigated the cases and find that the reason of family feud behind missing of the children. He asked the people not to panic. He said that the SPs, SDPOs and SHOs had been directed to deliver lectures in schools on public safety to promote self-confidence among the students.
