Islamabad: The International Islamic University (IIU) has said it will seriously consider the proposal of opening its schools in different cities of the country.
This was stated by IIU Dr. Masoom Yasinzai during a meeting with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Inayatullah Khan in the former’s office here.
The minister proposed that the IIU open the branches of its schools in different parts of the country, especially Dir district.The IIU rector assured him the university would give a serious thought to the proposal.
He said an IIU delegation would soon visit the district to evaluate the proposal’s feasibility. He hailed the IIU for its services to Muslim world and said a huge number of students from his Dir district were enrolled in the IIU. He also condoled with the IIU rector the death of his relatives in the Quetta carnage.Also, issues of mutual interest came up for discussion in the meeting.
Meanwhile, IIU President Dr. Al-Draiweesh paid surprise visits to both male and female campuses. The main objective of the frequent visits to the campuses was to observe the problems and provision of solutions to the new students during their initial screening test for admission in the International Islamic University in various programmes.
Dr. Al-Draiweesh discussed matter of induction of the university students in the various departments with the academicians and administration heads during his visit.
