Pakistan’s win at the Oval on Independence Day was nothing less than a treat for the nation. The team showed commendable character and performance after two back-to-back defeats at Old Trafford and Edgbaston cricket grounds. The inclusion of young players like Sohail Khan and Sami Aslam and the coming back into form of Younis Khan certainly proved well for the team. It is hoped that the one-day team will repeat the same performance and emerge victorious.
Pakistan has a tough challenge ahead as the team has to play a test series against Australia in Australia followed by a series with New Zealand. The players have to be in good form to show consistency in their performance. The senior players should take more responsibility in challenging conditions.
